Since I took up photography as a hobby, I’ve always been interested in portraiture and lifestyle photography. It ties in neatly with my great fascination with people generally. I haven’t really had a chance to step out and do a shoot that falls directly in line with either of these two categories (not purposely anyway) as either a) I don’t have a model I’m comfortable to work with (I get shy when it comes to asking -___-) or b) the weather is paaaants. On this occasion however, I was fortunate to have a willing model (my good friend MaryAnn – another girl crush of mine) and great weather so yaay 🙂 The shoot did not go the way I planned at all and I was very inexperienced – found it hard to direct and I guess it’s because I didn’t really know what I wanted. I just wanted the practice. I’m really happy I did it though. It was a step out of my comfort zone. Definitely a step in the right direction. Here are the pics – not amazing but a decent start 🙂
